end of edna?

The last 3 months have flown by and so much creativity has happened.  The Artists have been integral to the huge success of edna.

As Wendy passed the last prop and Rebecca passed the last move everyone expressed” how they do not want edna to end”.

“edna has been unique, completely different and appreciated”

But it’s not the end entirely.  Wendy casts everyone hands and Rebecca helps with the wire and wool.  Ann, Sandra and others help with cutting the drawn ‘breath’, all towards the forthcoming exhibition.

A private exhibition will be held at St Paul’s Church Hall on 12 December between 2-4pm and thereafter photographs will be present within Rainham Library.  In the New Year, the Blake Gallery will host the edna exhibition between 21-26 January 2014.

This will be a real celebration and bring everyone together.

There will also be an evaluation report produced.  The researcher’s from Trinity Laban and Sidney De Haan Centre will pull evidence together on the physiological and psychological benefits of the project.

We all feel that edna has produced a best practice model for future projects with older people.  It is hoped that through research the evidence of the benefits will lead to more dance, arts, health and wellbeing projects like edna.
